The Crop Services Division is responsible for increasing the country's pepper production through the involvement of the public, especially the target groups in the field of pepper cultivation and production. The aspiration to increase the country's pepper production can be realized by increasing crop area and pepper productivity through agricultural input provision activities, human capital development, premium / value -added pepper production and crop protection.
Functions
To plan, implement,
supervise and monitor the implementation of activities under the Pepper
Industry Upstream Development Programmes:
Develop new pepper
planting areas
Maintain existing pepper
planting areas
Distribute agricultural
input assistance to the target groups.
Encourage the production
of premium/value-added pepper through the distribution of processing equipment
and farm infrastructure facilities.
Improving the skills of
farmers to increase productivity while implementing Good Agricultural Practices
(GAP) among farmers.
